My lovely and talented friend Sarah (see day 1 for link) started this challenge.
I am going to do this the way Sarah did – a song every day and with a few lines about why I like each artist and song, and why it is significant for me. I am as much about the music as the words by the way, so I have to like both if I include a song.
Please feel free to join in this challenge with your own lists!
Indiana Jones Theme by John Williams
I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark at 15, alone at the cinema. I have never been so thrilled by a movie since and it remains my favourite. A few years later the sequel was the movie I saw with my now wife on our first date.
John Williams was responsible for the theme music for so many of the great movie themes of my personal golden age of movies – from Jaws in 1975 to Jurassic Park nearly 20 years later, both directed by Steven Spielberg and with John Williams music.
OMG nice memories!!! one of my fav movie π

That’s one of my favourite films as well. John Williams music is fantastic. Also like Henri Mancini BTW.

Oh man! I love this theme so much!! I think the Indiana Jones films contributed a lot to me having studied archaeology. π John Williams is just a brilliant composer and Steven Spielberg will be forever one of my favourite directors – put those two together like with this film and you simply have magic! π
