Dominique has nominated me to do this again as she is curious to see more of my part of the world and also Mel has been writing words to accompany my images over on her site – so here is some more material for you.
All pics this time have been taken in Lancaster, UK, this summer.
With regards choosing nominees. I really don’t enjoy doing that, so anyone who wants to take part is very welcome to do so!
The rules are: Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day (yes I am breaking this rule!)
Very cool photo. Love the eery feeling I get when I look at it.

Interesting this view from afar that allows to see the old part of the city as well as the more recent architecture.

This is the beach at Morecambe, part of the city now really, It was a thriving holiday resort back before cheap flights to Spain and would have been full of people. My friend Jane and I were sitting in a pub in Lancaster once some years ago and an American couple asked if it was worth going to Morecambe. Jane’s response was “only if you want drugs or a prostitute”. Things have improved a lot since then!

All cities have areas that we do not see on postcards. Personally, I like to discover these forgotten corners, which are often visually rich for photographers.

Thank you. I find this part of the area quite sad to be honest.
