My delightful friends Dominique and DeeDee have both nominated me for this challenge. Me being an all-or-nothing kind of guy decided I would do 14 days straight. This has the added advantage of meaning I don’t have to think up anything new to post for a couple of weeks…..
Some of my pics are new, some are old, some have appeared on Instagram already (in colour). Some of the subjects have special significance for me, some have special significance for friends, some are just pretty pictures.
With regards choosing nominees. I really don’t enjoy doing that. So I am going to use this opportunity to nominate new bloggers and new followers to help then enter the fold of this lovely community. There is no obligation, and anyone else who wants to take part is very welcome to do so!
The rules are: Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day.
Today’s nominee is: Sara
Challenge accepted 🙂

Such a gorgeous pic, Darren. I love it. Nope, I am not afraid of spiders in case you are wondering. These critters and their web are just so beautiful. Ok, I confess – I don’t want them inside my home though… 😄

Thank you Dominique😊. This is where I tell you I always wanted a pet tarantula as well as a snake…

I knew that already! 😊 And this is where I tell you I’m on Susan side this time. xoxo

But they are cute and furry. Like hamsters with extra legs. No?

Yes, but anything furry with more than four legs has to stay outside where I’m please to watch. For some species the number of legs drops to two with or without a tail. 😊

Interest photo. Garden spider? (Stripy legs).
I won’t be doing this challenge as all my posts contain at least one monochrome image… for a while, haha! 🙂

Thank you Val. Yes a garden spider. Thousands of babies in the greenhouse at the moment too!

Good place for them – they can eat all the bugs that would otherwise eat the plants. 🙂

That’s an amazing pic! I think I might need to get me a macro lens…

Thank you 😊
Not a macro lens – it was a very big spider! I keep looking at macro lenses but they are expensive. I do have an extension tube but I have to use old lenses with it as the new Canon fittings don’t with it.

love this! 🕷🕸 What a great angle too! I also want a macro lens, but I want a drone too (for rock climbing shots). I will have to make a decision soon!

Thank you!
Macro lenses are expensive. You could try a set of extension tubes instead. As little as a few dollars on ebay but mostly there is no electronic connection so you would need to manually focus, which is a good idea with macro anyway.

Beautiful picture, they are quite graceful creatures. I like them best outside. I’d love to have a macro lens for my camera.

Thank you Lisa😊. We have very big house spiders too. I did promise Roda I would take a pic but last time I tried the spider grabbed the camera and threw it at me. The things are huge I tell you!

This looks like such an avant guard photo! Loved it! Earlier this spring we found a tiny spider and a magnificent web between the posts of our patio. I should post it. I did Tweet it though. I love nature! You’ve captured this beautifully. Even if I’m a bit freaked out! Gorgeous! (*finds happy place*)😉
