My lovely, beautiful, inspiring, kind, sunny, talented and all round amazing friend Roda over at Growing self has nominated me for this, her own, award. I am honoured to have become part of Roda’s world and we have many mutual friends now. They form the core of my WordPress family. Thank you Roda, for this nomination and for being there.
“The Growing Self Blogger Award has been created to acknowledge and celebrate amazing individuals, in the blogging community, who are persevering through life’s challenges not only to GROW as individuals, but to reach out and help others GROW as well.” ~Roda
How Does It Work:
- Put the award logo/image on your blog
- List the rules
- Thank the individual that nominated you and provide a link to their blog
- Describe the award and mention the creator: Roda – Growingself.blog
- Nominate up to 5 blogs. Remember, the purpose of this award is to specifically celebrate those individuals that have made a difference in your life or the lives of others.
- Give at least 1 reason why you nominated each individual.
- Notify your nominees of the award
I am delighted to nominate the following amazing bloggers, many of whom I met via Roda and have already been nominated by the lady herself – but I am still going to nominate them anyway! There is, as always, no obligation to take part. This is simply a way I can show my love for you and express my thanks for your friendship,
The gorgeous Dominique from 3CStyle and I were nominated together and because we have so many mutual blogging friends we have conspired to jointly nominate others – so you can assume that anyone on Dominique’s list is also nominated by me and vice-versa. It also avoids duplication 🙂
Margit from Rhapsody Boheme I have written about before. Her photography takes my breath away but she also has such an amazing soul and is a genuinely beautiful person. My heart goes out to her as she embarks on a new phase of her life back in her native Germany. Germany is not that far from the UK so if you ever need that hug in person I’d be delighted to visit.
Lisa from Lismore Paper and I have a lot in common and have similar aesthetic tastes. She takes this to a level I can only aspire to with her beautifully composed and imaginative art. Lisa has been so supportive of my own efforts too and I greatly value her friendship. We share a dream of one day giving up the day jobs and devoting ourselves to creativity. It will happen dear friend.
Linda from Everyone Else Has The Best Titles has become such a good friend. We understand each other in a way that is rare. Our experiences of introversion and depression are similar and we both have a slightly skewed sense of humour (probably as a result of this background). Linda writes in such a humorous and eloquent way and is also generous to other bloggers in hosting her ‘Guest in Jest’ series each week. Linda is one of the few who truly gets how it feels to generally not like people much whilst also loving our friends with great intensity!
Martina from Heartbridges Writings I have nominated for several awards in the past and I hope she will forgive me for doing it again. Martina is a meditation teacher and her writings on self-discovery always move me. She is also such a kind and sweet person whose comments on my blog and on instagram are full of joy and love and always brighten even the dullest day. Thank you my friend.
Marie from Create Space has shown a great deal of insight and understanding of my journey and is always such a lovely and supportive friend. We are close to each other in age and share much of our outlook. Marie quite recently took a leap of faith and changed careers, becoming an adult education teacher. Many of the things she writes speak volumes to me about what a great teacher she must be. Her warmth, intelligence and understanding shine out.
Like Dominique, I also want to mention Dee Dee who was nominated by Roda alongside us and would be on this list also if it were not for that!
