See part one for the intro.
The rules are:
“Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day”.
I want to point out that if I challenge you there is absolutely no obligation to take part. Also – if I don’t directly challenge you but you want to have a go at this then please do!
Today’s nominee is :Miss Gentileschi
Love it!! Great texture.

I am not a religious person but I respect others beliefs. Like the Buddhist philosophy and way of life though I have a problem with the reincarnation belief.

So do I really. I also didn’t much fancy the idea of reincarnation. The life I had seemed enough of a trial without wanting another afterwards! This has changed recently and life is better. Not yet perfect though.
The Buddhism thing came about because ten years ago my therapist recognised that I had an intellectual curiosity about the therapeutic process (I must have been really hard work for her) and recommended a book – ‘The Compassionate Mind’ by her mentor Paul Gilbert.

I love this one and I do relate to many things associated with Buddhism. A couple of years ago, at the beginning of what I call my journey of enlightenment, it all just started to make sense and I’m ok with whatever it is someone believes in, as long as you believe.

Thank you. Buddhist teachings about many things, especially compassion, made perfect sense to me. I believe in those. Not necessarily the more supernatural elements.

Many struggle with the supernatural and needing facts to back up theories. For me it is that some things don’t require an explanation and there is a sense of knowing, some sort of familiarity. I believe it is our own experiences that lead and link us ultimately to what we believe in the end. 😉

🙂 Whilst I am more in touch with my heart these days (and today I wish I wasn’t) I am after all supposed to be a coldly rational scientist 😉

Awe, I’m not sure that would be any fun. A cold rational bubble may not be the answer. 😉

Nice picture! How big is it? Looks small from here but looks in a photo could be deceiving. 😆

Approximately 32.5mm high. Scientist see?

Haha, great scientist! 😆
That’s interesting, it’s about the height of my own Buddha statue, yet it looks like it’s a hand-sized statue! (To me, at least.) It’s interesting how perspective makes it look a different size than it is. 😀

I deliberately left out anything for scale though the wood grain on (my bedside) table gives it away a bit.

That certainly makes it interesting. 😀
